The confirmed cast for Season 8 thus far includes:

The location:
Confirmed to be New York City, and it's rumoured that the NYC CTU Office will be re-activated.

Dates:
Season 8 is set to air January 2010, with filming beginning May 27th 2009.

It would appear Ethan Kanin may or may not return, as a new Chief of Staff has been selected, in the form of actor Chris Diamantopoulos, pictured below.

Jennifer Westfeldt and John Boyd have joined the cast.

Jennifer is said to be a recurring news reporter with ties to one of the main characters, whilst Boyd is set to play a CTU analyst.

EDIT: Freddie Prinze Jr. has also been confirmed to play the leader of field ops in Season 8 as a returning marine that aspires to be like Bauer.
